Weekend Roundup

How Ancient Women Took Power

Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,

Here in Ireland, it looks like Persephone has returned from the underworld, and Spring has truly sprung.

This week, we had a discussion on ancient views regarding vegetarianism (including those of Pythagoras), and took a look at one of the more overlooked Greek tragedies, Sophocles’ Philoctetes.

Plus for Members, we have an EXCLUSIVE new e-book looking at how women were able to take power in Ancient Greece, through the mysterious Thesmophoria festival.

The book’s author, Mary Naples, will be joining us for a MEMBERS ONLY Roundtable Event on April 18th at 12:30pm EST. Members can register to attend below. If you can’t make it on the day, all registered Members will receive a recording of the event!

Meanwhile, over at Classical Wisdom Kids, we’re experimenting a little bit with a slightly different video format. What do you think of it? Let us know!

And finally, Happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate it.

Check out everything just below…

That’s it for this week!
