Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,

Happy Daylight Savings! Did you know it was none other than Benjamin Franklin who suggested (jokingly) that we should change the clocks? In a satirical letter to the editor of The Journal of Paris, Franklin suggested that waking up earlier in the summer would economize on candle usage; and calculated considerable savings.

Go figure.

As for the Ancient world, this week we asked, What makes you YOU - a look at the famous paradox of Theseus’ ship, we released last week’s panel discussion on dealing with death, and took a look at Plato’s dire prediction on the fate of Democracy. We also ended the week with a chipper piece on Crime and Punishment.

Just kidding, there’s nothing uplifting about the myth of Tantalus.

I keep saying I’ll post more happy articles… keep meaning to do that still.
