Weekend Roundup

Ancient Philosophy for Children

Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,

What would Marcus Aurelius do?

It's one of the questions being pondered over at Classical Wisdom Kids, where we have a special interview with Donald Robertson, of Plato’s Academy Centre and How to Think Like A Roman Emperor fame. Anya's asking the questions, but the questions themselves are from children under ten.

It's all about building resilience and learning about ancient philosophy, especially Stoicism. While this video is made for kids, folks of all ages will enjoy this fresh perspective on these ancient topics.

You can find that at Classical Wisdom Kids or just below…

Over here, for the adults, we have a very important LIVE event coming up this week, which we're calling How To Save Democracy.

Professors Brook Manville and Josiah Ober will be joining Anya to look at the history of democracy to draw out lessons for how modern democracies can survive and thrive.

That's on Thursday August 31st at Noon EST. If you can't make it on the day, just be sure to register in advance and we will send you the recording! Readers based in the US will also be entered into a competition to win a copy of the Professors' book, The Civic Bargain: How Democracy Survives.

You can register for that HERE. We hope to see you there!
