Refugees on Foreign Soil: In Search of the Legendary Aeneas

Registration *NOW* Open

Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,

What inspired the stories of Aeneas and his wanderings across the Mediterranean? Why is his story so important to Roman culture? Is there evidence for a migration of peoples from Anatolia traveling West? Did Aeneas and the Trojan refugees find their way to Italian shores?

Our newest webinar event is now open for registration!

Join host, Petros Koutoupis, as he explores this narrative and attempts to shed light on the archaeology of the region during the Late Bronze Age.

This talk will take place on Tuesday November 29th at NOON EDT.

*Can't Make it Live? If you register in advance, we will send you the recording.*

About the Speaker:

Petros Koutoupis is an author and independent historical researcher, focusing predominantly on the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age periods of the Eastern Mediterranean and general Near East. Fluent in modern Greek, Petros has additional knowledge in languages that include ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew and a good fundamental understanding of Aramaic, Ugaritic, Phoenician and Akkadian.

He has always relied on the original sources for interpreting some of our most misunderstood historical and mythological texts. Petros is also the author and host of the historical newsletter and podcast, Digging Up The Past. You can learn more by visiting https://diggingupthepast.net or https://www.PetrosKoutoupis.com.

Want to make the most of the event? Petros recommends reading, or re-reading, the first six chapters of the Aeneid.
